View all tweaks

Tweak #10 - october 10, 2001

Hardline Windows users still like to use the command line.
The disadvantage is that you have to do lots of typing, especially when using long filenames.
This is solved by enabling AutoComplete.

After installing this tweak, you can use the tab key to complete the filename you are typing.
If there are multiple matching filenames, you can use Tab and Shift-Tab to move forward and backward between them.

The tweak

Go to the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor

There you should find the following value:

CompletionChar

If it's not there, create it as a DWORD value.

Set this value to 9.
